I've been playing cards for a while now and poker online for a number of years. I've never really attempted to move out of the micro-stakes, I just wasn't ready mentally. I think I am now and that's what matters. I may not have the skills in place but I know the game and I know people.
There's nothing really to be said about playing $0.02-$0.04 Limit Hold 'Em online. I stand by my beliefs that if you're unable to beat the lowest limits there's no way you should ever move up, everyone needs a consistent result at every level. At the micros I'm taking this as a minimum of 10,000 hands + a positive winrate. If the winrate is a little hairy, there's nothing wrong with staying in one place for a little longer.
My winrate right now is 5BB/100, my ROI being an average 13.5% growth of my money for every session I play. I'm pretty happy with this and I've taken some nasty bounces during this month that I'm pleased to note haven't caused me to tilt. I have two big problems right now, concentration and silly mistakes. Both need to be worked on.
See you at the tables,
P-W
